Experience the drums in Salvador Bahia!
Meet the always sunny and nice warm Salvador Bahia. Here lies the historic Pelourinho where you can stroll through the quaint streets and enjoy a healthy dose of art and culture. Many samba bands play here in the streets in preparation for the big carnival. Music is everywhere. Pelourinho is placed on the World Heritage List and is full of street artists, galleries and museums. Salvador Bahia also has its own typical Bahian cuisine with delicious and unique dishes. To complete the holiday Salvador do Bahia (Bay of the Gods), a long coastline where you can enjoy the nice sun, sand and sea.
Percussion Workshop
On this trip brings you music teacher Mireille Linger in the world of Brazilian rhythms. You end up in the middle of preparations for the carnival.
You get Mireille eight days long, three hours a day, teach the samba but also in the traditional rhythms of Brazil ë. Here you play among other atabaques, Alfaias, congas and samba bateria instruments.
You become acquainted with the musical culture of Brazil and you will ë Festa da Yemanja experience. The day thousands of Brazilians to the goddess of the sea them by ritually throwing flowers into the sea.
Besides you are going to play itself is sufficient room for Salvador Bahia viewing, shopping or the beach to lie. In the evening there are often outdoor concerts where you can dance and there is the opportunity to share with Mireille to go to a Candomblé (musical ritual ceremony)
